Muscimol from Amanita muscaria is known to interact with GABA receptors. GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is involved in various bodily functions, including mood and pain perception, and serves as a communication network for cells. Neurons located just below the surface layer of skin can receive and interpret these signals. When applied topically, muscimol is believed to interact with these receptors.
We use a carefully crafted full-spectrum Amanita muscaria extract to include other naturally occurring compounds found in this mushroom.
